    Cox Communications Expands Internet Affordability Program to Help Close the Digital Divide

    Cox Communications has broadened its affordability portfolio by expanding its low-cost internet tier, ConnectAssist. The newly expanded offering is one of Cox’s many efforts to create digital equity and is designed for low-income households who don’t qualify for Connect2Compete, which is designed for families with children in grades K-12 who are enrolled in government financial assistance programs.

    Samuel Johnson, CEO of Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) has been elected to Chapman University’s Board of Governors.

    Johnson was elected to a three-year term on the 36-member board by the university’s Board of Trustees. The Board of Governors is an advisory committee tasked with making suggestions regarding focus areas to help the university president and Board of Trustees monitor strategic planning, academic programs and external relations.

    SoCalGas released a new analysis that examines the complexity of reaching California’s carbon neutral goal by 2045. This analysis builds on existing climate models used in studies commissioned by state agencies, and the modeling work and results were independently verified by scientists at three leading research institutions.
