Ortega Highway Project

OCTA approved a $5.25 million funding agreement with San Juan Capistrano for the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates to widen the portion of Ortega Highway.

The project consists of widening the highway from one lane to two lanes in each direction, alleviating the traffic congestion. OCTA is working on an agreement for the Ortega Highway project, which could open by 2028.
